Elderly Fairytale Heroines

Sabugosa Ad Illustrates That Children's Books Last Forever

These captivating ads for Sabugosa, a Portugal-based publisher, use the tagline “Great stories last forever.” Great copy all on its own, but then add these superb illustrations, such as an elderly Little Red Riding Hood, and you get an even more memorable message to retain and put a smile on your face.

My favorite one is Rapunzel dying her white hair in hopes that after more than 40 years, her Prince Charming will finally save her. These ads were created by advertising agency Fields, Brazil with creative direction by André Sartorelli, Fernando Lopes, and Lucas Zaiden. The copy was written by Paulo Lima and the great illustrations were produced by Grupo Magneto.
