Bare Shoulder Chic

Smoldering Strapless Dresses Among Golden Globe Winners

Although the official Golden Globes winners didn’t include Amy Adams, the actress certainly made our award for best dressed in her black, strapless number.

I gathered a variety of Spring/Summer 2009 sexy strapless dresses from various designers because of MTV’s declaration that Amy Adams, “is our Queen Of The Golden Globes Red Carpet,” due to the stunning strapless Oscar de la Renta gown she wore at the event--which may spark a wave of those seeking hot, shoulder-baring fashions.

Carolina Herrara has several strapless dress styles; (1) A feminine and elegant applique gown, (2) a black strapless corset gown and (3) a fun and flirty strapless corset dress.

Max Azria’s strapless dresses are long and flowing, perfect for a night of dancing. Amy Reese’s strapless Peplum dress is pastel cute and, although it isn’t a dress, you can bare your shoulders with her onyx strapless shirt coupled with stylish lantern pants.

Lastly, since the 2009 Spring Proms are just around the corner, these youthful Marchesa strapless dresses by Georgina Chapman would be splendid choices for obtaining perfect prom chic. Worthy of note is that Miley Cyrus wore a gorgeous Marchesa strapless gown at the Golden Globes.

Amy Adams wasn’t the only one who may inspire showing-off shoulders this spring and summer; a few other female celebrities wearing the hot strapless look at the Golden Globes were Drew Barrymore, Kate Winslet and Eva Longoria.
