Sponge Dresses and Plastic Wrap Wigs by Kate Cusack

Kate Cusack is a New York City born artist whose body of work revolves around the creation of what she calls "outrageous headdresses and fantastical costumes."

Cusack also makes very attractive and artistic jewelry from zippers which were recently showcased here at Trend Hunter.

As for the creations we are presenting today, the multi-colored dress comes with a matching hat, both of which really stand out. The artist wants to create the impression that the dress was made from sponges, hence its name "Squeaky Clean."

Following the “sponge” dress, there are four Marie Antoinette-style wigs made from household plastic wrap which were "created for Tiffany & Company’s 2002 Mothers Day windows. Featured at Tiffany & Company’s flagship store at Fifth Avenue and 57th Street in Manhattan,” according to Cusack's website.
