Helios is a throwback to the Jurassic era, when dinosaurs were dying to make petroleum for us to fight over. Helios is a design for an off-road electric solar-powered buggy. When off-roaders are stopped for the requisite liquid refreshment to recharge, the dino car will spread its "wings" made of photovolatic panels and caputure some rays to charge up the batteries.
The concept is taken from nature, where some animals have stretchable skin to absorb heat and light. The Helios Concept won the Best Use of Technology at the Interior Motives Design Awards 2008.
