Parodies of Magazine Covers

Gallery of the Absurd

The website Gallery of the Absurd creates illustrations of magazine covers that mock and parodies the cult of celebrities in our societies.

Created by an illustrator that goes by the name (or number, rather) of 14, the site’s latest ‘victim’ is Angelina Jolie’s W Magazine cover where the actress is seen breastfeeding her newborn babies. 14’s parody shows “Saint Angelina Jolie” on a shrine outfitted with angel wings and breastfeeding the twins via a pair of fountains in lieu of her breasts.

Other celebrities and public figures that have been spoofed by 14 are Sarah Palin, “Madonna and Child” featuring Madonna with her adopted son David, “Jail Bait” Miley Cyrus, and David and Victoria Beckham.
