Hair-Inspired Architecture

The Strand Barber Shop Project

From a strand of hair comes this stunning barber shop created by Israeli designers Lior Vaknin and Sabi Aroch. Each partition wall of perfectly finished drywall looks just like magnified cuticle layers of hair.

The clean white and fresh apple green paint looks ultra hip. The salon is divided into three areas: a washing station at the farthest point, the main cutting, styling and waiting areas, and another stylist work area with a reception desk.

Check out the entire construction process and concept phase on Vaknin's Coroflot portfolio.
