Zipped-Up Public Spaces

The Zipper Tape Project

This experimental sticker project by French designer Benoit Lemoine is simple but entertaining. Large rolls of tape are applied to public spaces and trees to mimic a giant zipper.

I hope Lemoine makes his creation available to the public, as there is clearly much fun to be had with this one.

The gallery also shows the Zipper Pond by JuMing at the Juming Museum.

Consumers today yearn for new and unexpected experiences that can spark their own imagination. Life-sized installations and unconventional pieces of art such as the giant zipper tape for trees offer consumers new and unusual experiences that are often lacking in a market that is overloaded with generic and exhausted ideas and products.
