Henry Holland’s House of Holland S/S 09 collection, debuted at London Fashion Week yesterday and was filled with polka dots and florals--even on beloved classic Levis 501s! Holland’s couture was inspired by the 90’s pop culture series Beverly Hills 90210.
The only character from the 90’s version of 90210 I can envision wearing anything from this House of Holland line is Donna--she’d have worn the floral chiffon pants and polka dot shirt, for sure. But Dylan, Steve, Brandon, or David, waltzing about in polka-dotted, floral Levis or soft-dainty shirts with polka dot shorts? Not so much.
Henry Holland appeals greatly to the youth fashion market and rightfully so, as he is in his early twenties.
