Michael Phelps' Mom, Debbie Phelps, wore an outfit from Chico’s FAS as she cheered her son on to gold. The 57 year old wore a jacket, tank and pants that were all sponsored. Could this be the first example of sponsoring an athlete's parent?
This follows other fashion companies who prefer real people in the limelight be shown wearing their fashions. She will be paid in “the low six figures” to appear for a year in Chico’s marketing and make public appearances.
