People were nun to happy when the World's first beauty contest for nuns was canceled by the priest who claims his aims were misunderstood.
Priest Antonio Rungi said he had never intended to put sisters on the catwalk, but had wanted to erase a stereotype of them as being old and dour. The contest was to be held online on his internet blog. Having gone to a convent full of old and miserable nuns I think this is a great idea. However, his mind was changed after the local religious authorities expressed their displeasure. More fool then as this would be been a great story, great PR and promoted some of the good work nuns do.
