Job-seekers, have you ever wanted to learn the inside scoop on a prospective employer before an interview? Corporate suits, are you making as much as the guy in Design down the hall? Glassdoor.com has these answers, and more.

The site is comprised of information provided by employees anonymously. CEOs appear next to their percentage approval rating, salaries are averaged and employers are reviewed. That means that on Glassdoor.com, you'll get the good, the bad and the ugly.

The site operates on a "give-to-get" basis. It's free to join, but in order to read other salaries and reviews, you have to provide either a review or salary for a current or former employer.

Glassdoor is still in beta, but there are well over 100 companies reviewed. On the front page of the reviews portion, you'll see a snapshot of heavy hitters like Microsoft, Cisco Systems, Deloitte, Accenture, Google and JPMorgan Chase.

While such employer reviews must always be taken with a grain of salt -- after all, it's easy to talk smack about your boss under the veil of anonymity -- knowledge is power, right?
