I can’t imagine the staff at People are all that happy with the timing of the wedding, as national hero Phelps scooped up yet another gold on the very same weekend.
The amount of viewers watching Phelps swim for his eighth gold was over 66 million people, and the words Bigfoot and Big Foot exceeded all other search terms last week, but People magazine had already committed to the de Rossi/DeGeneres coverage.
Gay might be as great as gold: only the numbers will tell.
