EVERY key on this apparently ordinary looking keyboard is made of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) that are brighter and more colourful than an LCD or Plasma Screen, without the need for power-draining backlights. Unlike your everyday keyboard, this one comes fully customizable without having to purchase kits and extra keys. Each key is a screen in itself that can display any image required. Different languages, special symbols, HTML Codes are all possible without the extra expense.
The Optimus OLED Keyboard will become a universal base set for enthusiastic gamers who would normally have to purchase their gamesets separately. No extra purchases will be required once the keyboard has been released, it will be a solution that will change millions of lives.
Due to be released and mass produced this summer 2006, (practically on our doorstep), the Optimus OLED Keyboard designed by Artemy Lebedev is expected to cost around $200, although prices will eventually drop down as demand increases for the new technology.
