Art Made of Medical Vials

"Sunny Day" by Aleksandra Stratimirovic

Aleksandra Stratimirovic is a creative lighting artist based in Stockholm, Sweden. She created the featured installation made of medical vials, which she titled Sunny Day. She created the medical mosaic, which consists of 4,000 vials, in a sterile lab. To complete the project, she presented it with a fluorescent backlight. Like a Monet painting, its image from afar is much more intricate, the vials making up the portrait of a girl in front of a lake on a sunny day, hence the title.

The work has been shown in the Vzigalica gallery between May 28th and June 13th at the Svetlobna Gverila festival in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
