Getting Paid to Bicycle

As great as saving the planet and the environment is, there are still some people who aren't motivated by anything more than when they are offered money. The PedEarn by designer Amir Alizade is a concept of a service that could encourage people to chose green transportation by offering them a chance to earn money while cycling.

In normal mode, the device shows the current speed, time and date. When you press the € button, you can see the distance and the amount of money earned that day. Pressing the T (total) button shows the total data of how many days and how much you have earned. The data is reset when you collect your earnings.

The designer suggests the budget for such a project can be provided by companies which advertise their products and services on the bicycles or by organizations such as the ministry of transportation.
