Playing with your food is something generally frowned upon in polite society, but artists are introducing new means of exploiting ordinary food products for the sake of entertainment. Artist J.Viewz infuses garden variety produce products with his electric musical instruments to showcase a new means of generating electo music.
J.Viewz has a device that is connected to the pieces of produce, which translates electric signals into keyboard signals resulting in different musical sounds each time he taps on the produce. Each fruit and vegetable produces a different sounding instrument every time he touches them. J.Viewz covers the song ‘Teardrop’ by Massive Attack, but with his own electrically charged produce version. Playing with food never sounded more appealing.
