Timex teamed up with One and Co. to design what they imagine could be desirable watches for the future. But not the short term future of a couple of months from now; the far future of 2154. Almost 150 years from now! Designers from more than 72 countries explored and visualized personal and portable timekeeping about 150 years into the future and submitted their entries.
An assembled world-class design team evaluated the entries in three categories: wrist-based, wearable, and conceptual. They chose the winners and those are some of the different concepts they came up with. A little bit too ethereal for me, but then again, it is the year 2154.
