Virign Atlantic passengers will now be able to purchase art 35,000 feet in the air thanks to the company's new Gallery in the Air. British artist Ben Eine's works are being exhibited on flights running from New York to London during the month of February. The art can be purchased aboard flights like any other duty-free item, with prices of pieces ranging from $4,000 to $24,000. Additionally, Eine's pieces can also be viewed in Virgin's lounges in JFK, Newark and Heathrow.
The Gallery in the Air is only available for viewing by those flying in Virgin Atlantic's Upper Class. Other artists are set to have their work appear in the aerial gallery after Eine's exhibit closes shop at the end of February.
