Internet Imagery Collages (UPDATE)

The Daniel Gordon Collages Layer Printed Internet Images

The Daniel Gordon Collages are outstanding works of art. The American artist creates his bright color-blocked collages using Internet-sourced images which are then made into temporary mini-sculptures. He then photographs these images again for the final finished piece. The Daniel Gordon Collages feature images of women made up of lots of tiny other images from the Internet set against color-blocked backdrops.

The collages also take an interesting modern twist on the classic fruit still life series found in classical and Renaissance painting. In his images, the fruit is seen in 3D. This artwork from the Brooklyn-based artist makes the audience think about how it perceives a lot of objects and images through technology as opposed to face to face.
