Exquisite Airplane Makeovers

The Boneyard Project Features Artists Muraling Abandoned Airplanes

30 artists have come together to re-purpose abandoned airplanes in the deserts of Arizona under the name of The Boneyard Project. They all made stunning use of these airplane surfaces and created breathtaking art on them.

It is admirable that these artists are also extremely conscious of what these airplanes may have meant to someone before. They are superbly appreciative of the aerodynamic surface of these machines and every one of them express a shock statement for the fact that these stunning pieces of work have been left at the Boneyard to rot.

Each airplane artwork is completely unique. Artists have all expressed their style fully with this surface they have been provided with and the outcome is simply a visual carnival.

The project is currently being displayed at The Pima Air & Space Museum in Arizona.
