These surreal images from Shanghai-based Hungarian photographer Bence Bakonyi feature eerily lit rooms in which objects are seen floating and defying gravity. This is the latest example of the huge popularity of modern levitation photography, which has exploded all over China and Japan.
The ominous series, entitled 'Nameless,' features pastel hued rooms with inanimate objects coming alive as they float up off the ground and around the unoccupied spaces. The pictures seem to tell a story -- one features a dog on a leash who looks scared as he floats up off the ground and looks round the corner; another shows us an abandoned room where the pattern of the floral wallpaper starts fragmenting and floating around the room.
