Whether it be of cats or gadgets, many have obsessions of some sort, but I have yet to see any who have an obsession quite like the ‘The Gold Man of Pimpri’ who has recently unveiled a 22-karat gold shirt.

The shirt, owned by Datta Phuge, a chit fund businessman, who is self-proclaimed to be a gold fanatic, recently commissioned a button up gold shirt, which weighs in at 3.2 kilograms. Though this may seem quite odd to many, he is not the only gold-obsessed man seen in India; in fact, according to India Today, there are several businessmen and politicians who have a penchant for the dazzling metal. Mr.Phuges reasoning behind was because “…the reason I have spent a whopping amount of money on the shirt. I am looking at it as an investment which will keep appreciating.”
