Remarkable Engineer Artwork

Hoi Dick Ng's Scientific Experiments Are Stunning

Engineer Hoi Dick Ng's engineering experiments have brought about stunning works of art. Though the beauty of the images was largely unintentional, Ng has nonetheless made a case for the harmony existent between science and the breathtaking display of colors and shapes.

Ng is based in Montreal where he works for Concordia University. He began his tests with a single tank of water within which he placed a cylindrical gate. Water was kept below the gate. When that gate was removed, cameras were there to capture the exact intersection between the water and barren space. The final product is quite intricate, prompting the American Institute of Physics to award Ng with the 2012 best fluid dynamics image of the year award.
