LG Touch Allows Users to Feel Clothing Material While Shopping Online

Andrea Ponti has designed a virtual reality phone, the LG Touch, that can provide real-time feedback, allowing the visually impaired to know what's happening on the screen.

As the winner of the LG Mobile Design Competition, the LG Touch features a minimalist design that incorporates important functions like Braille functions and keyboards that allow the visually impaired to easily maneuver, unlike traditional mobile devices where they have to feel for and memorize different keys. The "high-tech polymer membrane touch surface" (according to the site) constantly changes as well to reflect different steps in the browsing process as well as provide tactile displays for online shoppers so they can literally feel the material of the item they wish to purchase, which further enhances the online shopping experience.
