‘The Journey’ by John Lewis opens the Christmas 2012 TV season with a poignant and beautiful ad. Following the success of the 2011 John Lewis TV ad that featured the power of giving, the 2012 addition follows a similar theme.

With the creation of a snowman and a snowwoman, the ad features a young girl celebrating the holiday season. What is unbeknownst to her, however, is that her snowmen are about to do the same.

After a brutal and exhausting journey abroad, her snowman returns to his snowwoman with a heartfelt and well-earned gift of gloves, a scarf, and a beret. The adorably sweet and sentimental commercial highlights one of the most important and best aspects of the holiday season: the power to inspire, delight and amuse.
