Abandoned Zoo Graffiti Museums

An Italian Zoo Transforms into an Interactive Art Space

Border Land Project has introduced the ‘Street Art Museum’ in Torino, proving Italy remains an epicenter for art manifestation. Italy is famous for its period art and it is wonderful to see a fresh and modern take on art and utility in society.

'Street Art Museum' a.k.a SAM is a project of love that turned a discarded zoo into a distinct and interactive art space. The re-purposed area is now a vibrant and creative environment for people of all ages to visit and intermingle with.

SAM features portraits, tons of large scale graffiti art and animal cartoons, staying true to the venue’s origins. It is one example of how a communal location can bring the community back to it, advocate local artisans and convert a wasted space into a colorful sanctuary.
