Art Exhibit Boutique Hybrids

The Aitor Throup 'New Object Research' Show is at Dover Street Market

The Aitor Throup 'New Object Research' exhibit showing at Dover Street Market is a process-driven collection that has a lot to say. There are two different parts to New Object Research. The first is a series of black mesh sculptures that are placed throughout the store space. The second is four pieces of "archetypes," which are each available for purchase; this is the first time that a full outfit has been available for purchase under Throup's label. The four pieces are a Stockwell Denim Jacket, Stockwell Jeans, Stockwell t-shirts and skull rucksack.

Throup says of his show, "New Object Research is about designing processes rather than products." Be sure to stop by the gallery to get acquainted with the intricacies of Throup's design process and to see his work in person if you can get to Dover Street Market.
