Android Launches the World’s Lightest Tablet at 249 Grams

Since smartphone and tablet companies have thin design mastered, a variety of them are now venturing into making the world’s lightest tablet ever.

The seven-inch NEC Medias Tab UL N08-D is made of aircraft grade carbon fibre, which is a lightweight and durable material that is less than 10mm thick. At “just 69% of the weight of the Amazon Kindle Fire and 71% weight of the Google Nexus 7,” the world’s lightest tablet currently sits at only 249 grams. The device runs on Android 4.0, can support a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and comes with an eight megapixel camera.

This amazingly thin and light Android tablets are already on sale from Japanese mobile carrier, DoCoMo.
