The ICEdot Sensor Alerts Emergency Contact When a Person Has Fallen

The ICEdot sensor (In Case of Emergency) could mean the difference between life and death. As dramatic as that sounds, it is the absolute truth. It is essentially a sticker for helmet-wearing individuals that monitors their movements to detect any discrepancies, namely an impact of some sort. For instance, if a cyclist falls, the ICEdot sensor will connect to their corresponding smartphone app and alert the person's emergency contact. That contact would receive a GPS coordinate of the fall and how severe it was. Nevertheless, the alert could be averted if not that severe.

Created in collaboration with SenseTech LLC, the ICEdot sensor is meant to be fixed on helmets. The ICEdot sensor is currently targeting action sports athletes, but it can also be used for construction workers and more.
