The Marie Claire Italia September 2012 editorial was shot by photographer Thomas Krappitz. Inspired by director Wim Wenders’ tribute to Pina Bausch, it stars a troop of dancers from the Ballet National de Marseille as well as male model Willie Cartier. They were each outfitted by stylist Monika Kropfitsch, who chose minimalist pieces with flowing silhouettes that accentuate the movements made in each image. The graceful poses were given structure by the architectural surroundings of an urban rooftop.
