Baked Electronics Give a Fresh Appearance to Common Household Devices

Exhibiting a clever combination of high-tech and low-tech, baked electronics take everyday objects like clocks, radios and computer accessories and gives them a doughy casing.

The idea was cooked up by Debbi Nitsan, a masters student at the Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, Israel. She's best known for her both for her food blog and for designing products that help facilitate plant growth.

With her baked electronics creations, Nitsan uses pastries, breads and crusts to replace the original covers and cases on existing electronics. Although it’s unclear why she decided to undertake such an unusual project, one thing is for certain: these are definitely the best smelling electronics around. The pieces are fully functional, as long as you can resist the urge to eat them.
