The Karoto Carrot Shaver Creates Edible Veggie Shavings

The amount of people who put carrot shavings on their food is bound to increase thanks to the Karoto Carrot Shaver. Israeli designer Avichai Tamdor created the Karoto for the Israeli goods shop Monkey Business. The device works exactly like a pencil sharpener, only instead of creating wood shavings it makes carrot shavings. In case you were wondering about its name, Karoto is the ancient Greek word for carrot.

A device that shaves carrots may not seem like much, but it could lead to people making healthier diet choices. One major problem with eating well is that body-friendly foods take time to prepare. The Karoto Carrot Shaver wouldn’t exactly make it easier to make a salad, but it would make it easier and faster to add veggies to virtually any meal.
