Klemens Schillinger Creates Meaningful Furniture for the Home

Klemens Schillinger is a creative industrial designer who recently graduated from the Royal College of Art. With a particular affinity for concrete and similarly grey ceramics, he has put together collections that are full of monotone character. Although that may seem like an oxymoron to some, Klemens Schillinger's creations are both basic and quirky.

For instance, one of Klemens Schillinger's projects revolves around vase designs proposed by strangers in rural China. By doing so, he shows diversity of creativity "in an environment where creative practise is undervalued." This uniquely crowdsourced collection is titled Migrated Vases. Another project involves slabs of concrete formed in builder buckets and then thrust onto three wooden off-cuts for support. Titled Leftovers, this line of stools are also very simplistic in aesthetic, but still meaningful overall.
