15 Torafu Architects Designs

From Faux Shelving Safes to Portable Patio Counters

Torafu Architects is a Japanese-based design studio that makes a wide variety of quirky and thoughtful interior decor pieces

Torafu is not solely limited to making furniture -- they make everything from workstations to mould-able vases to color-changing wedding rings. One thing is for sure: their designs aways reinvent the conventional product. For example, the mould-able vases are actually a stiff sheet of netting that can be pulled and pushed into different shapes. Plates, bowls or vases can subsequently be designed at one's own hands. In another instance, their minimalist wedding band is simple at first glance but in fact transforms over time. It will gradually become more golden the longer it is worn, to symbolize the beauty and strength of the union.

It is clear that Torafu Architects put heavy thought behind more than solely functionality and aesthetic quality as creativity is clearly esteemed.
