The University of Southern Mississippi Makes Fire-Proof Camouflage

Have you ever wanted a fire-proof camouflage that protects your skin from unwanted observers and also from explosive heat and irritating bugs?

However, the wait is now over as US military researchers at the University of Southern Mississippi have developed a new and innovative face-paint formula that replaces fire-accelerating, carbon-based face-paint with heat-resistant silicone with insect-repelling DEET.

The result is a paint that can be applied like suntan oil; however, in addition to providing decent UV protection, it can also provide up to 60 seconds of thermal blast waves reaching temperatures greater than 1000 degrees Fahrenheit.
