MTV Canada & Sony Launch 'Made of Imagination' Project

MTV Canada and Sony have teamed up to launch the 'Made of Imagination' contest, a contest that challenges music-loving Canadians to invent their own unique instruments. Launched in collaboration with the blog Booooooom, the project encourages people to build their own instruments by either recreating an existing one or making a completely new instrument -- as long as it can be played.

The project aims to promote the Sony Xperia Ion smartphone, which is also one of the prizes awarded to the most innovative creation. Other prizes include goodies from Booooooom and the grand prize winner will get $5,000. To enter the contest, participants can shoot a video of themselves playing a song with their new instrument or simply invent something completely offbeat and crazy and show off the details by submitting a photo and accompanying information through the contest page.
