The ANDO Nurscal Absorbs Bad Smells When Changing Diapers

There are many duties performed by nurses and caregivers that are not ideal and changing diapers is one of them; the ANDO Nurscal machine hopes to help the situation by instantaneously deodorizing the air so that they don't have to suffer from the smell when the diaper is removed. Presently created for commercial use in hospitals and care centers, the ANDO Nurscal machine is currently being tweaked to fit into household spaces as well.

Developed in collaboration with a chemical engineering research group at Kanto Gakuin University, the ANDO Nurscal machine uses activated charcoal to absorb odors. Known as mesopore activated charcoal, it boasts large pores that absorb odor constituents in order to dilute them so they are less disagreeable. One batch of charcoal can last about 3 months when used 10-20 times a day.
