Public Tradesmen Workshops

Techshop Stores Cater to Budding Craftspeople

The American-based TechShop stores allow curious entrepreneurs, artists, students, thinkers and craftsmen to explore a plethora of tech tools. Band saws and drill presses are only some of the machinery made available to the public here, allowing talent to flourish and develop in unprecedented ways.

TechShop CEO Mark Hatch has been running the tradesmen outlets since 2006. He now has 5 operative locations throughout the U.S. with another Brooklyn spot on the horizon. A month by month membership program allows its affiliates to explore new equipment, the bulk of which is rare and expensive. This testing concept alongside optional specialty courses has already produced the Square, Embrace and OpenROV designs.

Hatch’s dedicated following will only to continue to bring about even greater engineering breakthroughs.
