Japanese miniature design line Terada Mokei makes a splash with the latest release of its 23rd installment from the pre-cut architectural model series. The competitive swimming-themed set will sure have people diving right in to try it out. According to the company’s website, the series was inspired by the Japanese freestyle swimmer Hironoshin Furuhashi, who was nicknamed the ‘Flying Fish of Fujiyama.’ Since Furuhashi’s world record setting ways, “competitive swimming has held a special place in the hearts of many Japanese.” This excitement is what the company wanted channel in its latest design.

The paper models use a 1/100 scale ratio, though they are small enough that the company’s attention to detail can still capture the tiniest aspect such as the toned muscular bodies of swimmers.
