The collection was created by designer Nathan Yong, who used the Looney Tunes character's cage as the basis of his design.
According to the design web magazine MOCO LOCO, Yong states, "Tweety's cage protects Tweety from harm caused by Sebastian the cat. But when it is used in a real life human context, it raises the question of whether we are protecting the human from the natural harm outside or are we preventing the human from harming the natural world."
