Yayoi Kusama is known for her fascination with the polka dot and her latest army of spots has infiltrated NYC.

Covering three stories on the outer facade of Louis Vuitton on 57th street, her signature design pattern is displayed for all of 5th avenue to see. An expressionless mannequin can be found in the window, stone-cold, complete with a red wig. This display nods towards the opening of Louis Vuitton pop-up stores that feature its polka dot-branded products. She is famous for using her signature design in several other exhibits, like the light display in 'Fireflies on the Water' and 'Infinity Dots Mirrored Room.'

This bold black and white display can be ogled at by the public, but strategically pre-empts her 'Retrospective' exhibit at the Whitney museum, which is on view until September 30th.
