The Lightweights Anchor Acts as a Grounded Support For Suspended Fixtures

The lovely suspended look of pendant lamps is made possible by gravity, and a force with which one can have a bit of fun when it comes to decorating interiors. The Lightweights Anchor is a whimsical object that stresses the balancing act of your light fixture and its point of support by replacing the ceiling mount with a load that's much lower.

Jonas Loenborg, of his own design company Hello Sailor, playfully adapted what might have been a standard weight into a gleaming cast steel sculpture of an iconic ship anchor. The nautical lighting accessory is complete with a bowed base, a crossed top and a chain loop, with the latter large enough to be threaded with the end of a power cord. The stationary Lightweights Anchor keeps a hanging lamp in place, yet permits one to pull in or let out some slack in the cable.
