As the Earth continues to populate and develop at an alarming rate, urban sprawl extends outwards, requiring futuristic transit options to connect communities.
Nowadays, many people have jobs within the downtown core but live in suburbia in the next town over. Developing the land further and further away from the central metropolis is a constant occurrence, which has spurred the creation of varying high speed rail designs since buses and subways are increasingly overcrowded and inefficient. With people in Europe and China already enjoying the use of bullet trains, America is overseeing the first of this kind of transit in California.
There is no doubt that the newest transit technology lies within high speed super trains, but the prospect of future projects already begs the question: can there be a balance between infrastructure improvement and environmental responsibility?
