The Medusa Bedside Lamp is a lovely, logical and improved solution to the popular combination of the side table and table lamp to provide both storage and illumination. It takes the shape of an oversized fixture and flaunts a pair of open ledges for the placement of a number of items.
Mikhail Belyaev's piece of contemporary furniture is made from smooth white Corian, sculpting a tripod form with three slender legs that unite in the narrowing cylindrical shape of a tall lampshade. A lightbulb can be installed in the hollow interior, casting a bright glow through the translucent material and out the bottom of the cover. Circular ledges on top and below the shade provide two levels to put books, glasses and alarm clocks on the Medusa Bedside Lamp.
