Origami-Like Ceilings

The Salon Urbain Lounge is Dynamically Geometric and Vibrant

The Salon Urbain Lounge offers a stunning space, mainly because of its striking ceiling design. As though inspired by the art of origami, it is an intricate installation of geometric folds that give the surface a three-dimensional appeal. More than that, it has been backlit with white and pink lights, that turn a more dramatic shade of pink at night, which helps to accentuate the shape and contour of each panel.

Designed by Sid Lee Architecture in collaboration with Ædifica, the Salon Urbain Lounge is located at the Place des Arts in Montreal, Canada. A treat before and after the concerts playing at this venue, it proves that the show does not have to end soon after the curtain call. Instead, it lives on in the dynamic and vibrant lounge space.
