Oliver Hrubiak, a young United Kingdom-based product and furniture designer, creates classic pieces of furniture full of contemporary character, which gives them a subtle twist. Two of his most recent designs, Finn and Frank, are perfect examples of this. Finn is a chair that beautifully blends different materials together for an eye-catching look that is nevertheless masculinely subdued. Frank, on the other hand, has a youthful appeal thanks to its baby blue tripod stand and bright red cord.
Soon to graduate in BA(hons) Furniture and Product Design at Nottingham Trent University, Oliver Hrubiak's main talent lies in the studied details of particular materials, namely wood and metal.
