The Kofunaki House offers a serene living space that brings a touch of the outdoors in. Filled with beautiful minimalist gardens that complement the simplicity of the structure's overall design, the Kofunaki House will inspire peaceful living in an otherwise hectic world.
Designed by Japanese firm ALTS Design Office, the Kofunaki House is described as "a proposal for a rich new life. Sometimes it may be inconvenient, or it may take time and effort, however, natural light, comfortable wind, and many plants give us value beyond that.” Sumiou Mizumoto and Yoshitaka Kuga, the firm’s two young partners, show the benefit of living with nature instead of against it. The two-storey home has greenery everywhere from growing beneath the stairs to hanging on the balcony.
