Micrography

Scripted Scarface Poster

If you look real, real close at this poster of bad-ass Tony Montana, the main character of the movie classic Scarface, you may notice that the poster was created entirely with letters. The unique technique used is called micrography and the poster was created using the film's entire script from the 1983 film. Absolutely amazing.

Implications - The amazing thing about artwork like this is that it could just as easily be put to good use as an advertisement or marketing campaign. Because almost any kind of text could be manipulated into an easily recognizable image from pop culture, the potential for a company to incorporate their own message or brand pitch is substantial in this kind of art.
