Nevertheless, the two work together beautifully, as though they were a match made in heaven. The athletic aspect makes the vintage-inspired ensembles more relatable and accessible while the bright colors and bold patterns bring them into the 21st century.

Captured by photographer Papo Waisman, the Metal Magazine Issue 27 is part of the publication's spring-summer edition. Stylist Lidia Aguilera was influenced by the '70s when putting together the fun and flirty outfits for the photoshoot. She clad model Ranya Mordanova in pieces from such labels as Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Stella McCartney and Burberry Prorsum. Beauty artist Daniel Rull exclusively used Chanel makeup to finish the looks.
