The Velo Modular Sports Interface is a conceptual design that turns a wheelchair into a hand-powered bicycle. Velo was created by British designer Mark Wafforne. The entire setup consists of a single wheel attached to a set of handlebars.

The Velo Modular Sports Interface was designed to attach to all types of wheelchairs via a leather strap. Putting Velo on a wheelchair instantly turns it into a bicycle, offering the user a chance to get additional exercise, and reach their destination quicker. Since the system attaches using only a leather strap, disassembling it in a hurry is both simple and easy. Wheelchairs have gotten more sophisticated over the years, but many paralyzed people still use arm-powered chairs. A design such as the Velo would make life easier for folks who can't afford a hand bike or a power chair.
